My Heart Skips a Beat

Nothing makes this mommas heart sing more then knowing what her baby wants. After a vacation weekend, a day from hell, and a night that wasn't much better, I am happy to know he's going back to the "schedule" he set for himself. And who doesn't love seeing that balding ring around his head?? I have so much to update on the blog, but after yesterday's tragedy I've stopped to cuddle this boy, and rock him a little longer because I've only got him for 18 years. Momma loves you big guy, feel free to stay little forever.

A Little Story From This Momma To Be

I will probably remember November 8, 2012 for the rest of my life.
No, it's not because I wanted to block all my facebook friends and all their annoying political posts
(Although, that would be a good reason to remember it)
On Wednesday, me and Fetus had a Moment.
I was on my way home from work and I just got off the phone with the doctors
answering machine.
I've been having really really really bad back pain.
Right under my left ribs.
I asked my doctor about this at my last visit and she said it was one of two things:
Muscle, easily treated and to start by putting a heating pad on it. If that helps, then we know it's the muscle and I'll need to go to the chiropractor, and/or get massages (yay!)
Or, it's my kidney, not as good because her solution to a kidney problem was to "watch it very closely". Not comforting.
So I started with the heating pad, pretty much 24/7. Sitting at my desk at work, laying in bed at night, watching tv, all the time.
After 4 days of this, nothing felt better and the pain would eventually spread to the front of my ribs by about 3:30, just in time for me to get in my car and try to drive home.
So I called and made an appointment for a kidney ultrasound to figure out what is going on.
That was last Friday.
So on Wednesday, my impatient achey self called the doctor to get the ultrasound results, leading me to this point in my life.
I was stopped in construction at a traffic light in a bit of a daze thinking about how bad my back hurt and how I needed to be laying down and not sitting in the car.
Right then, on my right side I felt a kick, a pretty dang good kick.
Then about 5 seconds later I felt it again.
and then it stopped,
so I pushed and he kicked again.
So I pushed again, and as I pushed that time, he kicked my thumb, hard.
I just sat and smiled, I wasn't thinking about my pain anymore.
I was thinking about this little baby, and he was thinking about me.
And for good measure, he kicked me again.
In that moment, I realized this back pain is worth it.
It doesn't matter if it's my kidney, or if it's muscle.
Whatever it is, it's going to get this little babe here.

Later that night Jim and I were sitting waiting for a movie.
Fetus was moving all over the place, and I could feel him everywhere.
So I grabbed Jims hand so he could feel, but of course he stopped preforming all of this tricks.
Jim has yet to feel the baby move because he does this every. single. time.
Later in the movie he was kicking in the same spot a few times so I grabbed Jims hand again and pushed and waited, and just like that POW!
He decided to say hi to his daddy.
November 8, you were a good day.
(After I finally heard back from the doctor it turns out there is nothing wrong with my left kidney, but my right has fluid in it. They said that was "normal" and they weren't worried. So now that nothing helps my back pain I'm here to suffer through the next 14.5 weeks. Oh Joy!)

One of THOSE Days

I need some Kettle corn

and muddie buddies

some Lemon Bars sound really good

or the bread pudding that Paige and I made at cooking class….. oh yummy

and that yummy chex mix gooey stuff that people give at Christmas time with the coconut in it. What’s that even called?

and I want my hair to look like this alllllllllll the time, but it hurts my eyes to look that far to the side for that long

and I’m in desperate need of everything found here

So who’s going to join me for a night of baking any and everything while watching trashy TV shows like Teen Mom, Sister Wives, and Real Housewives of Beverly Hills?

If your tummy isn’t growling you are not invited… ok well maybe.

It’s really been one of those days, apparently.

Because Posts are Few and Far Between Lately

Let’s be random. Ok, maybe I’ll be the only random one because my cute friend over here told me to.

My computer is stuck on over type. I have no idea how this happened, nor how to fix it. I don’t want to tell Hub because I’m too proud.

I’m obsessed with my dog. Obsessed. It’s really unhealthy. and yes, he does sleep right there in my closet. He’s always had this obsession of sleeping under all my clothes.

I hate making decisions in fear of offending someone, but this makes me really easy going.

95% of the time I talk to people I’m super awkward. This makes my job 100% difficult because my job is to talk to people.

Hub knows me better than I know myself. Like when I asked him if I could DJ in the car his response was “Only if it’s not Beyonce on repeat”. How did he know? It haven’t occurred to me yet, but that’s exactly what I was headed for.

I want to finish my degree, but I don’t know if I should do fashion, and never use it, or Interior Design, and rarely use it, or go the opposite direction and go to hair school.

I get the travel bug about once a month. I love going places. Every time the travel bug comes to town, so does the shopping bug. Double wammy.

Most everything that comes out of my mouth starts with “So I was reading this blog the other day….”

I get the giggly wigglies every time Hub texts or calls me, we’ve been married over a year.

Last night, while eating hash browns, I decided I hate the smell of ketchup, but I love the taste.

I love driving around and looking at houses. Hub hates it.

I love looking at the inside of houses even more. So I think EVERYONE should put pictures of their houses up. I’d love it.

My friends are the greatest. Just today I got an envelope full of pictures from my best friend who just moved to Florida. (Come baaaaack)

I love when people change their relationship status on FB. It’s so fascinating to me. and I love looking at the pictures of peoples weddings and engagements. Please, everyone just wants to see the ring and the dress. Please put up pictures that make both very easy to see.

I love crafting, making things, being artsy and such. But I never make anything that actually works. Let’s not bring up the dinner I set on fire, or the magnets that are too heavy to stick to my magnet board.

Please notice the magnets sitting on the table.

I would love to have a successful blog, but I’m not very interesting. I’m pretty dang awkward, and my life isn’t that exciting.

I’m OCD when it comes to cleaning and it bothers me. I want to be ok with messes, and couches with messed up pillows, so sometimes I force myself to not wipe off the counter after I’ve dropped crumbs on it. It makes me cringe… and it makes me cringe even more admitting it. I sure hope my mom doesn’t read that.
